Celebrating Excellence in Broader Impacts
The Broader Impacts (BI) Champion award recognizes individuals who have contributed significantly to establishing and advancing the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) Broader Impacts criterion, or who have contributed significantly to the realization of the vision of Broader Impacts of scientific research. Honorees have played a role in defining and implementing consideration for BI as a part of science and research, and/or have contributed to building a professional community around this consideration. BI Champions are tireless advocates for the impact of research in society.
