Christal Huber

Christal Huber, PhD, is a Senior Engagement Program Coordinator with The Connector at the University of Missouri. Here she supports faculty in developing NSF Broader Impacts and public engagement initiatives. She also facilitates experiential learning experiences through programs such as the Columbia Young Scientists Expo and MU’s Graduate Certificate in Public Engagement to immerse students, faculty, and staff in the creation of quality public engagement programs.

Christal brings experience across higher education, Cooperative Extension, and workforce development having led large-scale programs and professional development for educators, researchers, and community partners. She specializes in connecting youth to authentic STEM experiences through non-formal learning programs. Her work has reached thousands of youth, volunteers, and stakeholders through these innovative STEM and outreach initiatives.
