
Dina Myers Stroud

Dina Myers Stroud, PhD is a nationally recognized leader in research capacity building, mentoring, and innovation in the research enterprise. She serves in the Office of the Vice Provost for Research and Innovation at Vanderbilt University and previously served as Lead Program Director at the National Science Foundation, where she helped design and implement the GRANTED initiative and forward the HBCU-Excellence in Research program. In these roles, she has helped guide more than $100 million in federal investment to strengthen research infrastructure and expand participation in the U.S. research ecosystem.
Earlier, Dr. Stroud served as Executive Director of the Fisk-Vanderbilt Master’s-to-PhD Bridge Program, a nationally recognized model for developing diverse STEM talent. A former cardiovascular researcher, she has dedicated her career to strengthening the systems that support discovery, mentoring the next generation of scientists, and expanding equitable pathways into research.
