Kevin Meskill

Kevin Meskill serves as Assistant Dean for Research at the Hamilton Lugar School of Global and International Studies at Indiana University (Bloomington), where he leads funding activities for four departments and 20 centers and institutes. He is responsible for both faculty development and serving as liaison for the school with campus, the university, program officers, and external funders. Before this, he worked in Indiana University’s central research development office, supporting faculty submissions, faculty mentoring, as well as leading collaborative research development for the office.

Additionally, he participated in the ARIS ORIC cohort (2022-23) serving as the lead broader impacts professional for the Bloomington campus. His research background is primarily in anthropology and history, focusing on Türkiye and the broader Muslim world. He has been juggling work in research development since 2007 and teaching at Indiana University since 1997. He holds degrees from Brown University and Indiana University.
