NORDP ARIS partnership

Friday, November 19: 1-2 p.m. ET, noon-1 p.m. CT, 10-11 a.m. PT

This 60-minute webinar will formally launch and celebrate the Memorandum of Understanding between the National Science Foundation (NSF)-funded Center for Advancing Research Impact in Society (ARIS) and the National Organization of Research Development Professionals (NORDP). This new partnership is in response to the seemingly endless possibilities for research development and societal impact professionals to connect, collaborate, and innovate to further the missions of both organizations — which coalesce around helping to advance and demonstrate the impact of research globally.

Join keynote speaker Alicia Knoedler, Head of the Office of Integrated Activities at the National Science Foundation, and colleagues from NORDP and ARIS on November 19 to learn more about the intersection of broader impacts and research development and participate in conversation around topics of mutual interest, such as leveraging research development/broader impacts as tools to increase sustainability, models of collaboration, lobbying for and standing up a presence at your organization, supporting societal impact work in the absence of a formal office, measuring success, and creating awareness of and training for faculty and other stakeholders. Webinar outcomes include the generation of ideas and connections that will lead to meaningful future collaborations, including the development and delivery of conference proposals for the annual meetings of both organizations, and an opportunity to compete for funds to co-design activities and materials to support societal impact and research development collaborations.
